How We Work

A Proven Engagement
Model That Delivers

Every Leapton engagement follows a structured, transparent process — from free initial assessment through to measurable outcomes and ongoing support. No surprises, no vague deliverables.

The Leapton Process

Four Phases, Clear Outcomes

1
Phase 01 · Discovery

Free Initial Assessment

Every engagement begins with a complimentary site visit or remote consultation. We listen carefully to understand your situation — not to sell, but to genuinely understand the problem. We assess your current compliance status, process performance, or digital maturity.

What You Receive
  • Initial findings summary and priority issues identified
  • Honest assessment of what help you actually need
  • Clear recommendation on whether and how we can assist
  • No obligation, no cost
🕐 Typically 1–3 days from first contact
2
Phase 02 · Scoping

Fixed-Fee Proposal

If we can add clear value, we issue a detailed proposal — fixed-fee, with explicit deliverables, milestones and timelines. Every proposal spells out exactly what you'll receive, when, and at what cost. No scope creep, no hidden charges.

What You Receive
  • Fixed-fee proposal with itemised scope of work
  • Clear deliverable list and milestone schedule
  • Success fee methodology where applicable
  • Team introduction and project lead confirmation
🕐 Proposal issued within 3–5 business days of assessment
3
Phase 03 · Delivery

Expert Implementation

Our specialists execute on-site or remotely per the agreed scope. We partner with accredited laboratories and allied engineers where specialist resources are needed, and involve your staff throughout for knowledge transfer.

What You Receive
  • Expert execution per agreed scope
  • Progress updates at agreed milestones
  • Lab testing through accredited partners
  • Draft deliverables for review before finalisation
  • Staff involvement and knowledge transfer throughout
🕐 Duration varies: 1 day to 3 months depending on service
4
Phase 04 · Continuity

Handover & Ongoing Support

We don't disappear at project close. Every engagement ends with a formal handover: final documentation, staff training and a monitoring plan. For ongoing support — compliance monitoring, IT maintenance, business advisory — we offer structured retainer packages.

What You Receive
  • Final project documentation and reports
  • Staff training and SOPs for operational continuity
  • Monitoring checklist and recommended review schedule
  • Optional retainer for ongoing support (cancel anytime)

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a typical engagement take?
+
It varies by service. A site assessment is 1–2 days; a chemical safety audit 3–7 days; a full EIA 4–12 weeks; a website build 3–6 weeks; a business plan 2–4 weeks. Every proposal includes a specific timeline.
Do you work outside Harare?
+
Yes. We serve clients across all of Zimbabwe — Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru, Kwekwe and rural operations. Travel costs for distant sites are agreed upfront and included in the proposal.
Can Leapton handle both engineering AND IT/business needs?
+
Absolutely — and this is one of our key differentiators. Many clients engage us first for a technical service and then expand into IT or business development. We're a genuine multi-discipline consultancy.
What if I need urgent compliance support?
+
Contact us directly and we will assess whether we can mobilise on an emergency basis. Retainer clients receive priority response and faster deployment.
How is the success fee calculated?
+
Before work begins, we agree a baseline measurement methodology. After implementation, we measure against that baseline. The success fee percentage — typically 10–20% of documented savings — is fixed in the proposal and cannot change.
